Three police officers slain in Port Harcourt

Three policemen were shot dead yesterday in the late evening in Port Harcourt when armed robbers invaded the convoy accompanied them. The policemen were guarding linked for Jerusalem pilgrimage to Port Harcourt International Airport, when they enter the bandits who was laid ambush along Eliozu, Rokpoku Road. The hoodlums opened fire on the convoy and the police reacted.
After an exchange of fire, which alleged hauled for some time, the three police officers were said to have died on the spot, while some of the pilgrims were told to have sustained minor injuries. About five 50-seater buses and the police stripe Toyota Hilux Pickup Van were riddled with bullets.
