Timipre Sylva condemns bomb attacks, warns against retaliation
By Alwayznews TeamGovernor Sylva Timipre Yenagoa Bayelsa State yesterday described the attack on Christmas Day in some parts of northern Nigeria as "asenseless criminal conduct by the enemies of humanity."
He said patriotic Nigerians not provoke retaliation.
In a statement in Yenagoa by his press chief, Mr. Ola Doifie, Silva said: "These explosions on Christmas Day, aimed at innocent worshipers must be condemned in all directions.
"It's a senseless act of violence by the enemies of humanity." Strange character of Nigeria and do not respect any faith or tradition. All men and women of conscience must condemn this lack of sensitivity to Nigeria and its various efforts to contribute to the collective task of stopping thecampaign of indiscriminate terror. "

While the Governor acknowledged that the spirits are high because of thecowardly acts of extremist elements, implored Nigerians to resist the temptation to take revenge.
He said: "We should not lead to revenge and waste more lives in thissenseless bloodshed by the enemies of humanity, but must cooperate with the federal government in an attempt to isolate and stop the culprits ..
"It's time to be together, faith to faith, nationality, citizenship and culture to another, to address this growing threat to our nation and the common humanity."
The governor urged the security agencies to intensify their efforts to stop the intelligence of these terrorist attacks in the bud.
