2011 elections Reports Showdown: Young professionals to prepare the revolution of the government and INEC Technology

Nigeria elections of 2011 Showdown is a TV program that airs on TV every day at 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays from March 14th to 22nd April 2011.
The program is designed for young Nigerians to match advocacy with a platform through peaceful revolution and the centrality of RISE is to inform and enlighten the youth about their rights as major determinants winners and losers in the electoral process while requiring accountability of elected office holders at all levels of government.

Last week, participants Nwoye Osita Busayo Akanro and discussed the role of social media and technology as a viable tool for change in electoral reform. The show was anchored by Chinedu Chidi.Chinedu Chidi received participants in the discussion by asking how Nigerians are ready for the 2011 elections by using social media?
Busayo Akanro a "nation builder" has estimated the percentage growth of ICT in Nigeria about 60%. He added that the anonymity of the Internet and technology devices, it is easier to share information as any bill authorization, license or information is needed to disseminate information.
Another guest Osita Nwoye, an Internet Consultant shared, "There is no amount of what we do electronically, for example on Facebook's BlackBerry, which can replace the way it could happen in reality."He agreed on the fact that the platforms of social networks will be useful during the election because it will be used to monitor activities at the polls and prevent voter fraud, he said: "We don 'will not leave it in hands, we tweet, facebook, send text messages and pictures to see if there is electoral violence or not. You can use this list on the abbreviations for reference when inputing party party results in the declaration section. "The probability of sabotaging government media during elections is being analyzed.sita Nwoye said that if the government decided to sabotage the media, they will be receiving the action as well, because they will not be able to reach people on these platforms.In conclusion, social media can be used to transmit information positive or negative.
